Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all well. It's all go with "Run Piggy Run" on high rotation in radio land. So far I have done twenty five live radio interviews on some key networks around the country including the KIX FM network (QLD and SA), 2SER (Sydney), ABC (National) from Melbourne to Darwin just to name a few.
I am currently in the "hot top 20" at number six for this weeks charts at KIX FM so if you would like to cast your vote check out the link below.

I have also made the next round of judging in the "Australian Song Writing Contest" for 2008 with "Bring it On" off  my  album. So lets see  what the judges  have to say about the final ten  in two weeks. Here's hoping!

Hi There,
Well it's been a mad couple of weeks so I thought I would give you an update as to what's happening."Run Piggy Run" has been grunting it's way around the globe this past week being played on over 50 stations nationally and on the net.

This went national on ABC and was streamed on the net to heaps of other country's, so check it out. I have another seven interviews this week.

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are well. It's all go with the NFS release of the "Run Piggy Run" single. As of this week there is currently 30 stations around the country playing my song. So if you haven't already please check out the list I sent you and call up the local station in your area.

I will be also doing live on air interviews on radio over the next month from Darwin to Perth to Melbourne and lots of places in between. Get your tickets for the charity night on the 14th June at Cudgen Leauges Club. They are going fast!

Hi There,
I hope this finds you well and happy.Thought it was time I gave you an update as to where me and my music is at.
We had a wonderful musical indulgence at this years Bluesfest @ Byron and saw some amazing acts from all over the world. Three 12hr days of non stop music with great friends,what more could you ask for?
Well exciting times ahead as the single release of "Run Piggy Run" via NFS-122. For those who don't know this is a compilation CD of all the latest releases that go to radio programmers nationally."Run Piggy Run" will be released as additional single to the twenty track NFS compilation CD going to over 500 radio stations nationally and associated press and media. So after the 5th of  May keep an ear out for the song and call your local radio station to request it.

I am also continuing to write songs  for my next album and it has been fun introducing some of the things I have learnt during the past couple of years and putting that to work with my new songs.

Hi There,
Hope all is well and the new year went off with a bang!! I had a great camping holiday with my wife and friends , a great chill out. Well 2007 saw a busy year and 2008 is shaping up to be just as busy.

The DVD "Mick Wilson Live @ the Titanium bar has come up a treat and is for sale on the website. All those who attended the launch are entitled to a free DVD just email me with your details if you want one and it will be on it's way.

I am currently talking to a distributor in Sydney in regards to a distribution deal to get my stuff out into the retail world, should know something in a few weeks so keep an eye out. My website and store has been transformed and my "myspace" is growing, so jump on and become a friend. I also have my stuff on Amazon.com which is huge in the states.

This Saturday Night the 26th of Jan I will playing at Mooball Pub which is a great venue, kick off at 7.30pm. I already have a good crowd showing up so come along and celebrate the Australia Day cause. Thanks again for your support in 2007 and I will keep you posted as to future developments.

Hi there,
Well what a mad life it is! I must appoligise for the delay beetween news blogs and will do my best to keep it up to date in the future.
First of all I would like to thank all my fans who attended the "Blame train" launch at the Titanium bar at surfers paradise on the 29th of August. It was a hoot with over 100 people in attendance and some partied until the wee hours. Not bad for a wednesday night.You can check out the photos on myspace.

Now on the news front! "Run Piggy Run" came fourth in it's category at the Australian Song Writing Awards which just blew me away. It was a great night in Sydney with some high profile music industry people in attendance.
My website is undergoing an overhaul at the moment by "kapeesh" so keep an eye out for that, It looks great.
Last but not least "Blame Train live @ The titanium Bar" DVD is almost complete. The fabulous crew at Bignote Productions have been working hard on it since the launch. It has a great live sound in 16:9 format and dolby digital 5.1 surround sound. It will be available for sale via the website before christmas. So buy a copy, turn up your surround sound and blow your hair back!

All is progressing well on the music scene and interest in the Album is growing by the day.
Well great news on the Australian Song Writing Awards,"Run Piggy Run" has made it to the top ten and we are off to Sydney for the awards night on the 30th of August. Whoo Hoo!!!

The Online Store is up and running so jump on and buy your heart out and remember Fan Club members get a free stubby cooler or poster with their first purchase, YOU CHOOSE !!!

Welcome to the grand opening of my website!

My album, 'Blame Train' is to be released on June 06, the official launch will be held at the Titanium Bar on the 29th of August. It's Invite only from 6:30 to 7:30PM, then it's open to the public. I'll be playing the album live at 7:45 with a four piece band. Ian Cousin is MC on the night, who is the Sales Manager for the MacQuarie Radio Network.

In other news Run Piggy Run played on the Channel 7 Television show 'Queensland Weekender' recently. The video will be on this website soon.

'Blame Train' and 'Run Piggy Run' are in the next round of judging in the 27th Australian Song Writing Awards. Heres Hoping!

Finally, theres a Sunday Session @ the Titanium Bar on the 26th of August from 1:30 to 4:30PM. Don't miss it!
